ACA Applauds Senate Confirmation of FCC Commissioners Brendan Carr and Jessica Rosenworcel

PITTSBURGH, August 3, 2017 – American Cable Association President and CEO Matthew M. Polka issued the following statement regarding U.S. Senate confirmation of Brendan Carr and Jessica Rosenworcel to serve on the Federal Communications Commission:

“ACA is very pleased that the U.S. Senate today confirmed Brendan Carr and Jessica Rosenworcel to serve on the Federal Communications Commission. Both have the experience and knowledge to implement the nation’s communications laws in a manner that best serves the public interest.

“ACA is confident that working with FCC Chairman Ajit Pai and FCC Commissioners Michael O’Rielly and Mignon Clyburn, new FCC Commissioners Carr and Rosenworcel will devote their considerable talent to advancing the vital national goal of increasing broadband infrastructure investment and promoting universal Internet access at affordable rates.

“ACA looks forward to working with both Carr and Rosenworcel after they have been sworn in to their new duties, and we look forward to Chairman Ajit Pai’s confirmation for a new term soon.”
