Last year, ACA Connects worked with the business consulting firm Cartesian on a study that provided the underpinnings for the many tens of billions of dollars of broadband funding provisions in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. We now have joined again with Cartesian – this time to produce a study that will give ACA Connects Members a leg up in working with States and Territories as you seek funding under the BEAD program.
The BEAD program holds out tremendous opportunity to close the broadband availability gap, and we know that ACA Connects Members are eager to participate in the program by proposing projects to States and Territories to help achieve that objective. To assist ACA Connects Members in getting States and Territories to understand the value of wireline projects you will be proposing, we have worked with Cartesian to develop a framework for how each State and Territory can spend BEAD funds on those projects so that all unserved and underserved locations can be connected. Each of you will be able to use our new study as a “calling card” to meet with States and Territories, and we intend to stay involved by backing you up in your discussions with States and Territories and by updating our study as new information becomes available.
Please join us on September 29 at 1:00 p.m. ET as Cartesian and ACA Connects present an in-depth review of the framework we have developed, respond to your questions, and discuss next steps.
ACA Connects webinars are free for ACA Connects Members.
