November 20, 2025—America’s Communications Association (ACA Connects) released the following statement regarding the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) adoption today of a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for Freeing Up Large Swath of Upper C-band Frequencies.
“ACA Connects is actively engaging with the FCC on this proceeding to protect the interests of our members,” said Grant Spellmeyer, President and CEO of America’s Communications Association. “As it plans to reorganize the C-band, the FCC must take steps to ensure small cable providers can continue to provide video service without loss of quality or reliability and are compensated for all reasonable transition expenses.”
America’s Communications Association (ACA Connects) is a trade organization representing about 500 small and medium-sized, independent companies that provide high-speed internet, video, phone, and mobile services covering 29.5 million households.
