ACA Connects Applauds FCC on Advancing Permitting Reforms to Speed Up Deployments

September 30, 2025—America’s Communications Association (ACA Connects) today thanked the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for launching a Notice of Inquiry to address excessive delays, fees, and other regulatory barriers that impede broadband infrastructure deployments.

Lifting permitting burdens and other deployment barriers is critical on every level—from maintaining America’s leadership in technology to spurring economic development in rural communities,” said Grant Spellmeyer, President and CEO of America’s Communications Association.  “We commend the FCC for making this a top priority. The Build America Agenda will help ensure that our nation’s independent broadband providers can deploy more infrastructure and connect more people to reliable and affordable high-speed internet. This Notice of Inquiry is an important step toward a stronger, more connected future. We look forward to supplying the record with data and analysis to help the Commission tackle these critical challenges.”
