August 13, 2025—At The Independent Show (TIS) in Salt Lake City, Utah, America’s Communications Association (ACA Connects) congratulated Blue Ridge Communications for being recognized by Cablefax as the Independent Operator of the Year.
“Congratulations to Blue Ridge Communications,” said Grant Spellmeyer, President and CEO of America’s Communications Association. “Blue Ridge has a rich family history of innovating and delivering best-in-class broadband, video, and voice services to customers in northeastern and southeastern Pennsylvania. David and Mark Masenheimer and the entire team are setting the bar high as a Top Operator!”
In its Independent Operator of the Year magazine, Cablefax highlighted Blue Ridge Communication’s close-knit relationship with the community and its long history as a family-owned and operated business. David Masenheimer serves as President and his brother, Mark, is the Vice President of Operations.
“We’re here for the long haul. It’s not about making a big score or anything like that,” David Masenheimer told Cablefax. “When you drive down the street here in Palmerton, there’s the [sister companies] Palmerton Telephone Company, PenTeleData and different Blue Ridge offices. We are fully integrated into the community and we plan to stay that way.”
