ACA Connects Congratulates President Biden’s FCC Nominees

PITTSBURGH, May 22, 2023 – ACA Connects President and CEO Grant Spellmeyer today issued the following statement:

“ACA Connects congratulates FCC Commissioners Starks and Carr on their renomination to another term at the Commission. Over the years, we have found both of them to be serious policymakers that seek to further the public interest. In addition, the President has nominated Anna Gomez to be an FCC Commissioner. Ms. Gomez is a well-recognized expert on communications law and policy with extensive experience in both the government and private sectors. We trust that her knowledge of the sector will help inform her potential future decisions should the Senate confirm her to reflect the challenges we face providing high-quality broadband to everyone in the country.

“ACA Connects Members appreciate any opportunity to work with leaders in government and to share their insights as to how policy decisions impact their ability to help address their challenges. We have enjoyed working with Ms. Gomez before this nomination and expect that to continue as her nomination proceeds. We look forward to the Senate’s consideration of these nominations and to working with the FCC and Congress to achieve our nation’s communications goals.”
