July 24, 2025– ACA Connects: America’s Communications Association released the following statement regarding the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) July Open Meeting and its work to streamline the pole attachment process.
“We fully support the FCC’s efforts to speed up broadband deployment by streamlining the pole attachment process,” said ACA Connects President and CEO Grant Spellmeyer. “The updated rules are a good step toward establishing efficient timelines and increasing collaboration with utilities. We thank the Commissioners for their focus on empowering broadband providers. This work will help ensure more resources are spent on building broadband infrastructure—and not on expensive and unnecessary bureaucratic delays. ACA Connects looks forward to staying engaged with the FCC on this matter.”
