January 14, 2025—ACA Connects- America’s Communications Association- today announced that Brian Hurley has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs. Hurley, who joined ACA Connects in 2018, will continue to lead advocacy on all legal and regulatory matters for ACA Connects.

“Under Brian’s leadership, ACA Connects has celebrated many achievements that have greatly benefited our Members. This most recently includes the Sixth Circuit rejecting the Title II regulations, preventing the bulk billing ban, challenging the FCC’s attempts to regulate every corner of the broadband industry, and advocating to NTIA to lift permitting burdens to speed up the deployment of broadband infrastructure,” said ACA Connects President and CEO Grant Spellmeyer. “These wins wouldn’t have been possible without Brian’s thoughtful direction over our advocacy and high-quality filings to government agencies and the courts. I’m pleased he is taking on a greater role in our organization as senior vice president to further advocate for sound public policy and help our help our Members navigate an everchanging regulatory environment.”
Brian Hurley previously served as Chief Regulatory Counsel. Before joining ACA Connects, he served 10 years as an attorney at the Federal Communications Commission. Brian graduated from Duke Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from DePauw University.
