April 20, 2026—America’s Communications Association (ACA Connects) today announced that Tomeika Slappy has been promoted to Director of Operations.

“I’m grateful and excited to see Tomeika take on this new leadership role,” said Grant Spellmeyer, President and CEO of America’s Communications Association. “She has been a vital member of our team for more than ten years. In this new role, she will support our strategic initiatives, enhance our member services, and help ensure we continue to execute our mission and goals effectively.”
Slappy brings more than 30 years of diverse professional experience spanning executive support and operations. She joined ACA Connects in 2016 as Assistant to the President and CEO. Most recently, she served as Manager of Member Services, where she managed a wide range of administrative responsibilities and supported multiple aspects of ACA Connects’ member relations.
She is a graduate of Bradford School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she earned a specialized associate degree.
