Join ACA Connects’ staff for a special webinar with Tom McNamara, Senior Vice President, C-band Transition Program at SES, and Dave Miller, Vice President, Program Management at SES, the principal provider of C-band satellite distribution services in the United States. Tom and Dave will discuss their company’s plans for the Upper C-band transition and what it means for ACA Connects Members. This introductory briefing will provide helpful information to assist Members as they develop their own transition plans, including decisions whether to take the lump sum reimbursement option for one or more earth stations. All Members that rely on C-band satellite service to receive video programming are encouraged to attend.
Tom and Dave will discuss SES’s transition plans, including the migration of programming to Ku-band, anticipated equipment changes and site surveys, and the terrestrial backup network SES is developing to address rain fade and support reliable programming delivery in certain areas.
Members will have an opportunity to ask questions directly and share concerns about how the transition may affect their operations. We encourage Members’ regulatory and technical staff to participate.
