PITTSBURGH, April 12, 2019 — ACA Connects President and CEO Matthew M. Polka issued the following statement:

“ACA Connects congratulates the Federal Communications Commission on its decision to eliminate outdated rules that require cable operators to maintain copies of their channel lineups in their local offices and to post them in their online public inspection files. In today’s competitive environment, cable operators must make information about their services known to consumers.

“Information about channel lineups is available to consumers from a wide variety of sources, including cable operators’ own websites. Eliminating these requirements is a fine example of ‘clearing the regulatory underbrush,’ which the FCC’s’s Media Modernization proceedings are designed to promote.”
