PITTSBURGH, January 19, 2021 – ACA Connects President and CEO Matthew M. Polka issued the following statement regarding the Federal Communications Commission’s Digital Opportunity Data Collection Order:
“As Congress rightfully required, the FCC today took another step toward collecting more accurate and granular broadband deployment data. These new collection and verification processes, while necessary in many instances, are unfortunately certain to place substantial burdens on smaller broadband providers.
“ACA Connects appreciates the FCC’s consideration of our group’s concerns in its decision and we look forward to working with the FCC as it implements the order and our members comply with its new obligations.”
