PITTSBURGH, March 1, 2019 – In addition to many D.C. and industry speakers, ACA’s 26th Washington, D.C., Summit will feature a wide-ranging panel discussion on leadership and trends in today’s broadband industry, addressing competition, workforce issues and financial administration.

“We’re honored to welcome these talented industry executives who will report on their experience with expanding advanced networks, staffing requirements, and the ever-changing competitive marketplace,” ACA President and CEO Matthew M. Polka said.

Tina Pidgeon, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, GCI, will moderate the discussion, which will be held on March 20, from 1:50 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. ET at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Northwest D.C.

Joining Ms. Pidgeon will be:

·    Patricia Jo Boyers, President, Boycom Communications;

·    Maria Brennan, President & CEO, WICT (Women in Cable Telecommunications);

·    Katherine Gessner, Vice President, Strategic Planning & Policy, MCTV; and

·    Italia Commisso Weinand, Executive Vice President, Programming & HR, Mediacom Communications

Each leader that operates cable systems and broadband networks does so in different parts of the country – from Alaska to Missouri to Ohio and throughout the Midwest – and have identified the critical success factors to increase their presence in the marketplace and deliver quality service to their customers.

“Today’s broadband leader must achieve excellence across divergent categories, including attracting and retaining quality staff, exploring new measurements in customer service, and anticipating trends in broadband services. Joining us at the Summit in this discussion is WICT’s President and CEO Maria Brennan, who will review specific workforce topics,” Polka added.
