American Cable Association Statement On Passing Of Carolyn Chambers

PITTSBURGH, August 9, 2011 – American Cable Association President and CEO Matthew M. Polka issued the following statement on the passing of Carolyn Chambers, Founder and Chairman of Chambers Communications Corp.

“The American Cable Association is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our good friend and longtime ACA member Carolyn Chambers. Carolyn was a cable industry pioneer whom we honor for a long life and career filled with great experiences and notable achievements running an independent cable company in Washington and California.

“We will always remember Carolyn not only as a loyal and dedicated ACA member but as a courageous and decisive leader who believed the health of the industry was just as important as her own success.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to Carolyn’s family. Please know that Carolyn is in our thoughts at this difficult time for you.”
