ACA Connects Statement on Senate Effort to Challenge Unlawful FCC Digital Discrimination Rules

ACA Connects President and CEO Grant Spellmeyer released the following statement thanking Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) for leading a Congressional Review Act (CRA) joint resolution of disapproval to nullify the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Digital Discrimination Order.

“Senator Cruz and Senator Lee are absolutely right. The FCC’s attempt to regulate every corner of the broadband industry will undermine the intended goal of equal access to the internet for every American,” said Spellmeyer. “ACA Connects urges Congress to take action on the House and Senate resolutions that challenge the FCC’s overzealous regulations. We’re grateful for leaders in both the House and Senate for working to protect small and rural providers so they can compete, serve their communities, and keep local economies moving.”
