In this video, ACA Connects checks in with the HolstonConnect team led by General Manager James Sandlin. The ACAC Member is a broadband provider based in Rogersville, Tenn., a town in, and the county seat of, Hawkins County, Tenn.
HolstonConnect launched broadband service in October, 2018. Today, it is serving 9,200 customers while offering up to 300/500/gig symmetrical speeds. Service is available to about 27,000 potential customers. The future looks bright.
“It’s very satisfying to see customers hooked up and get just a phenomenal … service that they don’t really expect in rural America,” Sandlin says. “It’s some of the best broadband in the world.”
Nathan Penrod, ACA Connects Digital Media Specialist, and John Higginbotham, ACA Connects EVP & COO represented ACAC in the meetings with HolstonConnect.
Our team also spoke with Nancy Barker, who is Director of the Rogersville/Hawkins County Chamber of Commerce and who could not have been more supportive of HolstonConnect. She called HolstonConnect “great community partners” offering a broadband connection to “customers who never had Internet before.”
Thanks to HolstonConnect, area residents have quality online access to telemedicine, personal finance, education and remote learning.
